uberday

these are my ultimate girls. with them, there is never a dull moment for they're a chatterbox, always kooky and kikay; and it definitely is always a pig out when we dine. :D we recently got-together one UBER saturday. our day was so full, the planned brunch wasn't enough to catch up. so we stuck together till dinner. mind you, we could've even stayed up until midnight or brekky the next day. our stories don't end. ;)

aw. missing them again (anne, we miss you. come home soon, alright?). can't wait for our next uber day.

quickie blog

i'm on a "grand vacay", but everyday seems so busy.
i remember promising myself, before this vacation took off, that i'll
give blogging a li'l more time since there should be a lot of FREE TIME.
guess i was wrong. it's quite hard for a busy girl like me to squeeze in
much time for this as errands, meet-ups, engagements, etcetera are always
on top of the list. and then when there is time to blog, i am already tired
if not lazy. hehe. i hope my 2 readers and bestest GGs, jayde and anne,
forgive me. i know, my to-do posts are piling up. sigh.

well, i try. so here's a quick one! :)
me-time wednesday at starbucks with my toffee nut latte frappe, honey
glazed doughnut, and  a good book.

C for Ch... Chuck Bass. I miss him already and a lot of GG episodes. :(

bittersweet doses

banoffee bolero, la dolce vita, and white winter mocha.

my drink. =)

a nice afternoon is a relaxed catch up mode with friends.

yesterday's was at mocha blends. i very rarely go there, so i barely had any drink

in mind. checked the menu then for the inviting ones.

all three of us went for the mega frost. aeyi had banoffee bolero-- mix of banana,

dolce, and graham crust. shyrr had white winter mocha-- white chocolate sauce and

christmas candy sprinkles. her drink was so fitting, like it's telling christmas is really 

just around the corner. :) mine was la dolce vita. as the name says, it has dolce and

is topped with strawberry syrup. all drinks have bittersweet coffee essence which

you can sip from the bottom. and as you sip further, the velvet vanilla ice crystals

built up from the center adds twist to your drinking indulgence. as the mega frost

tagline said, "every sip is a different experience". try mo!

a hazelnut story

here it goes: a layer after layer of chocolate chiffon and hazelnut cream, covered with chocolate and cocoa. the look of it is real tempting, not to mention it's from breadtalk. so as soon as my slice was ready, i thrust my fork through it to know the story inside. :)

like a few parts of a story, i'd say the romance between the layers of chiffon and the buttery cream is the climax. the taste of the fine crumbs and the not-too-sweet cream is pleasurable. the conflict here is the strong chocolate taste. okay. it's not too strong, but as for me, the sort of bitter taste is quite a challenge. it didn't taste bad, though. just that "the sweeter, the better". yes, i always like my cake sweet, but not overly sweet. now my taste buds are craving for some sweet resolution to the bitter taste this story had left. any sweeter cake story to suggest, anyone?
